The Physics Minor is intended to promote preparation in physics and to help prepare for graduate work in physics, astronomy, geophysics, interdisciplinary sciences, engineering, or graduate school in professions such as medicine or law. The minor will also improve skills and competency for careers in industry, public service, or teaching. The minor consists of five courses.

Options (2 course units)
Two additional 3XX/4XX, with minimum one 4XX (excluding PHY 361 and PHY 466*)
*If interested in PHY 361/466, please consider the astrophysics minor
Most PHY 4XX courses require either PHY 306 or MAT 229. Students should plan accordingly to ensure they are able to enroll in their selected 400-level course.
Up to one combined unit of PHY 393/493 may be used with approval from the Department Chair.
