Below is the process to follow in order to be registered for Independent Research (PHY 393/493). The process described below is fully electronic and should be completed before November 30th (Spring enrollment) or April 30th (Fall enrollment).
- The research mentor and independent research student discuss the parameters of their independent research including the number of units the independent research student will enroll in and the topic. Note that the Independent Study Topic must be 30 characters or fewer in length.
- The independent research student will complete the online Independent Research Forms:
- School of Science Independent Research
- Independent Research Form – PHY 393
- Independent Research Form – PHY 493
- The electronic form will be received by the Assistant Dean for the School of Science for additional processing.
