Overview of Research

In addition to teaching, faculty members are actively involved in scholarly research and participate in collaborations with colleagues from other departments, institutions, and industry. The tenure-track faculty in the department have broad training in all core areas of physics and are therefore able to provide a range of research opportunities for students during the semester through PHY 393/493 courses and during the summer through programs such as MUSE. Research in the Physics Department at TCNJ is supported by modern state-of-the-art scientific instrumentation. Faculty and students also present their work in a variety of forums ranging from research meetings to dissemination through publications in leading scientific journals.
